“The individual investor should act consistently as an investor and not as a speculator.” – Benjamin Graham

FAQ

Are there risks in working with a boutique firm?

There are risks in working with a firm of any size, and investors should always perform proper due diligence. Although Alcosta Capital is a boutique by design, the firm has the same back-office and risk management disciplines used by the nation’s largest firms. Additionally, client accounts are custodied at Fidelity Investments. Most importantly, Alcosta Capital’s Growth Composite track record has been examined, and the firm has been verified by ACA Performance Services, a respected independent third party verification firm. The verification reports are available upon request.1

What if U.S. stocks fall out of favor?

For many decades, America’s most innovative and promising companies have delivered strong, consistent revenue and earnings growth. Alcosta Capital does not follow investment fads. We believe that individual U.S.-listed growth stocks will continue to provide consistent opportunities for investors, regardless of whether that asset class is in or out of favor with Wall Street analysts.

Is there a minimum level of investment?

Alcosta Capital works with a broad range of investors. For some investors, we manage a small portion of their assets; for others we handle most or all of their portfolio. We typically seek a minimum investment of $300,000.

How is Alcosta Capital compensated?

We only work with clients on a fee basis. This arrangement enables us to make investment decisions that are always in our clients’ best interests, and are never influenced by sales commissions or the volume of account activity.

What if I need to withdraw funds from my account?

We encourage our clients to take a long-term approach to investment, and to allow sufficient time for opportunities to yield attractive returns. However, if circumstances require that you withdraw some or all of your investment, there is no lengthy lock-up period. Your portfolio is highly liquid.

Do you have client references?

If you are serious about working with Alcosta Capital, we can arrange for you to speak with any number of current clients, some of whom have been investors with us for many years.

How do I take the first step?

We begin all of our client relationships with a casual conversation about your circumstances and personal aspirations.  If our interests are aligned and the personal chemistry is mutual, we will share with you how we work with our clients.  At that point, it's your decision as to how we proceed.
